Outreach

Living in love and faith.jpg

We continue to build our work with and in our local community.  We align with six local charities, which were chosen by our student body, and undertake fundraising activities throughout the year to support them.
Our six charities are:

  • WADARS

  • Sussex Search and Rescue

  • Andy’s Angels

  • Safe in Sussex

  • SID Youth

  • Worthing Food Foundation

We will share our activities on this page, and through social media, throughout the year. Should you feel able to support any fundraising activities, we know that any contributions, not matter the size, will make a difference.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - Autumn 2022

So many of our community have been affected in some way by cancer.  St Andrew’s staff will be baking cakes and enjoying them together on Wednesday 29th September 2022.   £71 could help run the Macmillan online community forum for over 3 hours, £100 could pay for a person affected by cancer to attend a health and wellbeing event.
St Andrew’s staff and governors are keen to help out in what little way we can.

Look out for photos on our social media pages and our total raised soon!

Harvest Festival - Autumn 2022

At St Andrew’s we are guided by our Christian faith and have long celebrated harvest festival.  This year is no different and we are supporting Worthing Food Foundation, the house charity chosen by Curie House.

Our whole community are working together to provide a donation of essential items to local families who use Worthing Food Foundation.  Students have had assemblies explaining how challenging families will be finding the coming months and how Worthing Food Foundation operates.  Our students and staff are really keen to play their collective part in showing the people of Worthing they are loved.

Our harvest celebrations will run the week commencing 10th October, so there is plenty of time to contribute in any way you can. You can stay updated with our progress through our social media accounts!

Iron Athlete - Autumn 2022 challenge 1

To raise money for our charities this autumn, St Andrew's staff have begun the funding this year by undertaking an 'Iron Athlete' challenge throughout the course of this half term. That means that every staff member who signs up will have to complete the full distances of the Iron Woman/Man challenge, which are:

  • 2.4 mile swim

  • 112 mile cycle

  • 26.2 mile run

We'll be keeping a running total, and will update regularly on social media. We know that the coming months will be a challenge for many, and so every donation will help these local charities continue their excellent work.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause.

Do support this challenge, and to donate to one (or more) of the charities, please click on the relevant logo below.  This will direct you to a Go Fund Me page, that will direct any funds raised straight to the charity.

Please note: The link for SID Youth will direct you to their website; donations can be made from via their site.  Should you wish to donate to Worthing Food Foundation, please drop any dried and/or canned goods to reception.
