Being able to make an informed choice about which subjects to opt for at GCSE is key to ensuring every student is able to flourish and succeed in the next step of their learning journey.

The options process will shortly be officially launched to students via our dedicated
2024-26 Options Website which will be available for parents and students. 
The 2024-26 Options Website contains information about the options process, what students are required to undertake, guidance about EBacc and specific details for each subject.

The launch  of the options process will offer students a range of experiences to support their decision making.  These experiences will include:

• An introductory assembly 

• Options Evening 

• One to one interviews with a member of the Senior Leadership Team (individual dates for students)

• 30 minutes taster lessons for all option subjects (students will choose which subjects to trial)

• Optional online meeting for parents with a member of the Senior Leadership Team (individually arranged)

• Online submission for final option choices 

• Additional meetings for SEND students with key staff

The deadline for choices to be submitted is 8th February 2024.

Please note that there may be more students opting for a subject than we are able to cater for.  Should this be the case, students with an EHCP and CLA are prioritised.  Similarly, it may be that too few students opt for a subject to make it viable to run.
