GCSE Options 2022-24
Being able to make an informed choice about which subjects to opt for at GCSE is key to ensuring every student is able to flourish and succeed in the next step of their learning journey.
The options process will be has officially launched to students t the Options Website is now 'live' and is accessible via the link below.
The website contains information about the options process, what students are required to undertake, guidance about EBacc and specific details for each subject.
This date launches the options process which will offer students a range of experiences to support their decision making. These experiences will include:
An introductory assembly (w/b 5th December 2022)
Options Evening (4th January 2022)
One to one interviews with a member of the Senior Leadership Team (individual dates for students)
30 minutes taster lessons for all option subjects (students will choose which subjects to trial - dates TBC)
Optional online meeting for parents with a member of the Senior Leadership Team (individually arranged)
Online submission for final option choices (no later than 23rd February 2023)
Additional meetings for SEND students with key staff
The deadline for choices to be submitted is February 23rd. Should you require a paper form, this can be requested via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that there may be more students opting for a subject than we are able to cater for. Should this be the case, students with an EHCP and CLA are prioritised. Similarly, it may be that too few students opt for a subject to make it viable to run.
