After completion of my GCSEs I had the chance to study abroad at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, an amazing opportunity which allowed me to experience different cultures studying in a diverse school.

 

On returning to the UK I studied Sport, Health and Leisure with Business Management BA (Hons) at Trinity and All Saints, Leeds University. After working in a number of different jobs including Marketing and Outdoor education, I completed my PGCE in Physical Education at the University of Brighton, joining St Andrew's in 2003 as a NQT.

 

Following promotion to the school's Senior Leadership Team, I completed my NPQSL in 2014 with a school-based project focusing on improving outcomes for disadvantaged students.  I have continued work in this area as a Senior Assistant Head and now Deputy Head as we work to improve outcomes for our most vulnerable students.
